Scalloping is still going strong after Debby.Now is a great time to go as they crowds are thinning out especially during the week with the kids back in school. Saturday the visibility wasn't the best but, the scallops were big and got our limit.

Had a bumpy morning with my old friend Charlie, his son and good friends in Steinhatchee. Had a nice trout and flounder along with a surprise baby cobia that provided a fun fight. Some sharks came to play too. Soooo many small sea bass and a few small trout. Fun morning

Weather and Water Conditions
The weather in Steinhatchee has been ideal for fishing, with temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to low-90s. Calm seas and clear skies have made for perfect fishing days. Redfish
Redfish are abundant in the shallow grass flats and around oyster bars. Early mornings and late evenings have been the most productive times. Using live shrimp and mullet has proven effective, with many anglers reporting catches in the slot size range. Speckled Trout
Speckled Trout are thriving in the deeper holes and grassy flats. Soft plastics and topwater lures are working well, especially during the cooler parts of the day. Captain Chris Davy reports that the bite has been steady, with plenty of action and some trophy-sized trout being landed.

Flounder
Flounder fishing has been excellent along the sandy bottoms and near rock structures. Live bait, such as mud minnows and finger mullet, has been particularly effective.
