The flounder bite in Palm Coast has been on for me the last few trips. Had 6 today with some fat mangroves and a bunch of the usual suspects.

What a great day on the water, couldn't ask for more action! I had the pleasure of taking Adam out with Southern Fried Charters for a 3/4 Day Fishing Trip in Steinhatchee, Florida this past June. The weather was perfect, with clear conditions throughout the day after a bit of morning rain.
With our gear rigged and ready, we started the day fishing the waters around Steinhatchee. Adam and I landed a nice 17-18-inch Summer Flounder and a feisty 18-inch speckled trout. It was a great time reeling those fish in and seeing the smiles on Adam's face.

Little Ms. Maddy learned to cast a spinning rod and we kept some good ones for dinner.

2 new lady anglers. I had the honor to take these young girls out for their first fishing trip ever. Quickly found out Ms. Abby is a natural landing 17 fish and limiting out on trout. She picked up on casting for herself and also caught her first fish using artificial with no help. We even took a few swims to cool off and have fun, those life jackets get hot!

Scalloping is still going strong after Debby.Now is a great time to go as they crowds are thinning out especially during the week with the kids back in school. Saturday the visibility wasn't the best but, the scallops were big and got our limit.

Had a bumpy morning with my old friend Charlie, his son and good friends in Steinhatchee. Had a nice trout and flounder along with a surprise baby cobia that provided a fun fight. Some sharks came to play too. Soooo many small sea bass and a few small trout. Fun morning

Weather and Water Conditions

Redfish

Speckled Trout
Speckled Trout are thriving in the deeper holes and grassy flats. Soft plastics and topwater lures are working well, especially during the cooler parts of the day. Captain Chris Davy reports that the bite has been steady, with plenty of action and some trophy-sized trout being landed.

Flounder
Flounder fishing has been excellent along the sandy bottoms and near rock structures. Live bait, such as mud minnows and finger mullet, has been particularly effective. Scalloping
